The District Chief Executive for Ho West District, Hon Ernest Apau paid a working visit to Amedzofe on Tuesday 20th April, 2021.

The DCE first point of call was with the Chiefs and elders of Amedzofe. He interacted with them on how to plant trees in the community, along the river banks as well as mountain Gemi to conserve the forest area and also to mitigate climate change. He stated that all is set for Ho West to observe a district wide tree planting between 5th-12th May, 2021 as well as the Nationwide tree planting day slated on Friday 11th June, 2021 to green Ghana.

The DCE with representatives from Ghana Education Service, Chiefs and elders and the Hon Assemblyman for the area also observed the temporal handing over of 4-unit workshop facility to Amedzofe Technical Institute (AMETEC).

The DCE later inspected the ongoing construction of canopy walkway and had a test of the facility which is expected to be completed and open to the general public within a month. After the inspection Hon Apau indicated that the canopy walkway will boost tourism and create employment for the teeming youth when completed.

Previous The Ho West DCE, Hon Ernest Apau has presented 10 industrial sewing machines, 20 hand sewing machines and 31 hair dressers sink on Friday 9th April, 2021 to sixty-one beneficiaries made of five (5) males and fifty-six (56) females to enable them improve their economic well-being.
